Artistic Director : Yoshiyuki MiyamaeLocation : the rooms of Hotel de Ville of ParisTitle of Collection : Chromatic FantasiaInspiration : a collection inspired by the beauty of The Northern Lights. The dresses, jackets and trousers see their colours change according to the angle. (Likewise for the soles of the shoes)The body is enveloped by voluminous raw wool coats from Shetland sheep, tinted with five colours.Light silhouettes, optical effects, every Issey Miyake collection is imprinted with softness and technical prowess. Focus on : the curves of the garment which are given by the use of Steam Stretch, which retracts the fabric and creases it elegantly.Interview with Yoshiyuki Miyamae :Chromatic Fantasia is the theme of this collection, so the inspiration comes from seeing the Northern Lights, so after last season, after the show I was lucky to see the real Northern Lights in Norway, I was very touched and it was a special experienceThis is a new fabric, I think you know Steam Stretch, so if you put the steam on it, it shrinks, so this time all the items and dresses in the last part of the show, all the items screwed, the patterns are simple but it’s changing the form with steam, before steam and after steam, so it’s changing the whole shape. Colours is also important, we use many colours in one fabric, for example this is two colours, yellow and green, you can see green but sometimes you can see blue depending on the angle, very special technique on very special fabric for this collectionMusic from the show (only to be used in the context of the show, protected by the right to information.)
